The little porcelain girl you held so long ago is shattered
Pick up the pieces on the outside trying so hard to fix her on the inside
She is and will always be shattered
The stabbing remarks broke her into pieces
The hands that held her sent her crashing to the floor
You cannot fix this because she is shattered
You smile in the church and you wave in yard
You walk her in the house is she is terrified
You broke her into pieces showing her how it’s done
So that even when you’re gone she will be able to break herself
She holds your memory as tightly as she holds the knife
Pressing it to her wrist she speaks the words “You are here mom!”
Chasing away the demons that broke the little girl everyone tried to save
Deeper and deeper she goes trying to fix herself
A little more and she can pull herself back together
A little more and she can stop being so broken
A little more pain will fix it
A little more blood will seal it
She stands in front of the mirror she can’t explain why but
While she stands there and she sees that she is still shattered. . .
